Travel eSIM provider Holafly has launched Ultra, a new monthly subscription that combines unlimited mobile data in more than 160 destinations with health, wellbeing and travel-disruption services. Holafly’s press release, published on 13 October 2026, gives the price as €84.90 per month. ISPreview, which covered the launch the same day, reports UK pricing from £72.35 per month. Ultra is aimed at people who spend long periods abroad, such as digital nomads, students abroad and frequent travellers.
What Holafly Ultra includes
According to Holafly’s announcement, Ultra joins the existing Light and Unlimited plans within Holafly Plans. The new tier includes:
- Connectivity: unlimited data and an unlimited hotspot in more than 160 destinations
- Local phone number: can receive texts, including two-factor authentication codes
- Health and wellbeing: 24/7 doctor chat, unlimited mental wellbeing sessions, nutrition and personal training support
- Online vet advice
- Travel disruption help: support with eligible flight compensation claims, and luggage protection for lost, delayed or damaged baggage claims
- 24/7 human customer support
ISPreview’s report describes the same bundle as an “all-in-one” service. Its list also includes virtual paediatric care.
Why Holafly is bundling health services
Holafly says the move is a response to the difficulties of getting care while travelling. The company cites its own research, which found that 47.5% of the frequent and long-stay travellers it surveyed had delayed or avoided medical care abroad even though they felt they needed it. Holafly did not give a sample size. It also cites MBO Partners research in which 23% of American digital nomads named travel burnout as a challenge and 19% named loneliness.
“Getting sick, feeling overwhelmed or dealing with a cancelled flight can be harder when you are far from familiar support,” said Metin Kastro, Chief Operating Officer at Holafly.
The fair usage question
Holafly’s press release describes Ultra’s data as unlimited and does not mention a fair usage policy. ISPreview points out that Holafly’s existing unlimited plans have typically slowed speeds after roughly 3-5GB a day, depending on location, sometimes to below 1Mbps. It also says the Ultra product page is vague about how such limits apply to the new tier. If you expect to use a lot of data, check the current terms on Holafly’s website before you subscribe.
Roamless also adds an “unlimited” option
ISPreview’s article also reports that US-based Roamless has launched a global eSIM plan that includes unlimited data for the first time. Destinations include the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Prices start at $8.40 for one day and rise to $351 for 90 days.
Under Roamless’s fair usage terms you get 3GB per day at full speed, then speeds are limited to 1Mbps. The allowance resets every 24 hours from your first data use. ISPreview notes that this is not truly unlimited, and that Roamless, as a US company, falls outside UK advertising rules.
What this means for UK travellers
Ultra is priced well above data-only travel eSIMs, so it is only good value if you would actually use the extra services. If you already have travel insurance, a home mobile plan with roaming, or access to remote GP services, much of the bundle may duplicate cover you already pay for. Short-trip travellers are likely to be better served by a fixed-allowance or day-pass eSIM.
Whichever provider you consider, read the fair usage policy rather than relying on the word “unlimited”. Daily caps followed by throttling are common across the travel eSIM market.
